The Oni on the Mountain

The Oni remains undefeated. Samurais come here to face the greatest challenge and prove their worth.

I made this illustration as a personal challenge, after years struggling with drawing and doing anything graphical since I left my artistic career. I did this one mainly online on Twitch, and I spent way too much hours on it. I MAY have put too much constraints for a restart: illustration format (A3), methods (digital painting starting with grayscale, not my usual way), software (Krita, freshly discovered) and subject (I'm way more comfortable with characters only), but I greatly enjoyed spending time doing it, chatting all along, doing something unusual.
